I hope this report finds everyone in good health and good spirits. I’d like to write about the ABM in December first and then talk about some of the needs of Region 2.

The Annual Business Meeting held at Little’s Lake in Menands, NY was very sparsely attended. Jim Burns, Bertha Snyder, Eddie Allen (who drove 3+ hrs to attend) and myself talked over the upcoming year. The main topics discussed were the need for a NYS Commissioner and a Region 2 Commissioner. Anyone interested in these positions can contact me at kevin.carroll@esc.edu or call me at 518-393-1453.

We talked about the events for the upcoming year and a calendar of events should be included in this Courier. If you have trouble contacting people for directions, etc, many of these events now have websites. Initial discussion of a Tattoo at Fort Ticonderoga this coming 4th of July weekend is taking place.

Courier articles are due before the end of March, May and September. We ask that all Commissioners submit articles to Eddie Allen so that he may include your adventures in the Courier. Email these articles to Eddie at edpatallen@aol.com.

The topic of a "Basket of Cheer" raffle came up for the Capital District Games and I believe that this is a good revenue generator. Jim Burns or myself will gladly accept donations for the basket.

The needs of Region 2 have increased over last year. We are in need of a NYS Comm. and Region 2 Comm. These do require a commitment of time and energy. I can provide a copy of the Commissioner Manual via email if anyone is interested in either of these positions.

We also need some storage space for tents, the podium, tables and various other pieces of equipment. We would prefer that someone in the Capital District area take this over so that the equipment is in a central location and available to those who need to use it. If you can provide space, please contact Jim Burns at 463- 0025 or Kevin Carroll at 393-1453.

Finally, I would ask for your help at any of the Games you attend. Even if it is just for 10 minutes so that someone can get something to eat or simply sit down for a moment. I hope to attend more Games this year and I hope to see you at the Games as well.
